All penalties against user accounts are dealt with as decided necessary by the Isles of Eventide volunteer moderation team. Disciplinary actions taken against you may be appealed by email bloodstreambusiness@gmail.com, in which an employee of Bloodstream Studios will evaluate and decide the outcome of your appeal.
How do I appeal my ban?
Send an email to bloodstreambusiness@gmail.com with the title "[Your IOE Username] - Ban Appeal"
You must include what happened and why you believe your ban was not appropriate. Unedited screenshot evidence that proves innocence is not necessary, but can potentially assist us in making the best judgement call.
What is an administrator?
Employees of Bloodstream Studios leading the Isles of Eventide project. We are project, site, and community leaders. Decisions about Isles of Eventide (such as game updates, bug fixes, and community events) are made by the administrators. Appeals, money, and legal concerns are handled by the administrators. Administrators also handle all permanent bans and account deletions. All of your reports should go first to a moderator.
What does a global moderator do?
Global moderators DO:
- Answer questions about Isles of Eventide
- Move misplaced threads
- Lock duplicate or inappropriate threads
- Report critical issues and bugs to the administrators
- Handle player reports and complaints
- Penalize and modify player accounts for rule infractions
- Oversee thread discussions and keep them on topic
Global moderators DO NOT:
- Have access to private player information
- Provide bug fixes
- Resolve customer service issues
- Have creative control in game direction
- Delete player accounts
- Have access to early development

So what's the big difference between global moderators and moderators?
Global moderators have a few more responsibilities than moderators. Global moderators are expected to handle more community and player to player problems than merely dust off the forum and maintain quality assurance in the boards.
All moderators are volunteers. They generously donate their time to helping maintain Isles of Eventide. They have a cool-headed demeanor and are here to protect the interests and concerns of the Isles of Eventide community. Being a friend of a moderator does not give you more of a chance at being a moderator, and moderators are expected not to give an unfair advantage to their friends.
What does it mean to be retired staff?
Administrators and moderators who are NO LONGER administrators or moderators. Do no send them personal messages asking for help regarding the game or forum and do not report problematic behavior to them. They are no longer a part of the active team, but are listed for honorary reasons. To be listed as retired staff you must meet certain requirements, such as being a moderator for at least six active months or contributing significantly to Isles of Eventide.
